A Dream Wedding & Other Sorts of Joy
Apparently, July 2nd was halfway through the year. It seems like a good time to write.
The first half of this year, my family and I were a tad preoccupied because the birthday boy from my annual mamaversary posts had the audacity to GET MARRIED. I managed to spend most of the front side of 2022 just thinking about this, really, planning a shower, arranging a rehearsal dinner, buying gifts, and ordering no fewer than four mother-of-the-groom dresses before one finally made me feel pretty.
What Comes Next
One Saturday early in these weird 2020 times, a hundred hopes and dreams laid out before me, including the novel I'm working on and the novel I'm trying to move to the next step after that, I suddenly needed to finish something. The unfinished reading I could knock out the easiest happened to be A Night to Remember, the true story of the sinking of the Titanic…
Fierce, fierce love and hope that just won't already
Look at me, dipping my toes into the discussion that is America these days. The internet is all, "Come on in, the water's fine!" And I'm like, It is so not fine, nobody wins ever, there is nothing right to say, and by the way you're on fire.
Be The Change
You know what I can't stop thinking about lately? How alike we all are. We all have fairly similar wishes about the day: I hope it's not a typical Monday. I hope I don't feel overwhelmed. I'd like to be inspired.

Thank You for the Perspective
Let's just admit it right up front, my 2016 has continued to be closer to chaos than perfection. I feel we do too much. Does anyone else feel like this? Actually, the feeling I get from my immediate universe is that pretty much all of us feel we do this.
The Totally Free Gift to Give
Being human is a ridiculous adventure.I recently finished reading The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard, which emphatically states the driving force within all of us is freedom. We want to be the boss of all the things - our work, our play, our money, our social calendar. Being free is the ultimate internal goal.
